(Austin, TX, March 10, 2026) – The Texas New Mexico Hospice & Palliative Care Organization (TNMHPO) is proud to announce that Kerry Arp, RN, has been named the recipient of the 2026 Service & Leadership Award, recognizing her decades of extraordinary leadership, advocacy, and dedication to advancing hospice and palliative care.

Arp recently retired as the Chief Quality, Compliance, and Clinical Officer at Three Oaks Hospice, concluding an exceptional career spanning more than 40 years. Throughout her career, she has been widely respected for her unwavering commitment to clinical excellence, regulatory integrity, and compassionate patient-centered care. Her work has strengthened organizations, elevated quality standards, and improved outcomes for hospice patients and families across the region.

In addition to her professional achievements, Arp has played a vital leadership role within TNMHPO. As Board Chair and Past President, she helped guide the organization with clarity, courage, and a deep sense of purpose. Known for her thoughtful leadership style, Arp consistently encouraged accountability and thoughtful decision-making to ensure that every action reflected the organization’s mission of serving patients and families with excellence.

Arp’s leadership extended beyond the boardroom. She actively participated in legislative advocacy efforts, including visits with Texas representatives to address the challenges surrounding Medicaid application processing delays that impact hospice providers and patients statewide. Through her advocacy, expertise, and credibility, she helped ensure that the voices of hospice professionals and the needs of patients were heard at the state level.

Colleagues describe Arp as a mentor and role model whose leadership is defined by integrity, humility, and grace under pressure. Her influence has shaped countless professionals in the hospice field and strengthened the broader hospice community.
