The ideal candidate will have experience leading a team and managing the daily operation of the business. They will be responsible for maintaining the standard of work from employees as well as onboarding and hiring new team members.

Responsibilities
Responsible for overall management aspects of hospice inpatient services, including but not limited to:
• Identify the need for changes in programs and services for patients requiring GIP.
• Develop policies and procedures to fulfill program objectives.
• Oversee scheduling, supervision, and ongoing education of CNAs and nurses.
• Participate in marketing and community health activities.
• Participate in on-call schedule as needed.
• Provide guidance in communication, coordination, and effective operations relating to patient care.
• Ensures patients requiring the GIP level are transitioned to a lower level of care when symptoms are managed
• Maintains line of communication between IDT members and patients/families, physicians, other health care providers and community agencies.
• Assures nursing documentation accurately reflects both care delivered and patient condition and participates in the plan of care development for patients/families.
• Monitor agency compliance with state health department/federal government standards and regulations
• Reviews complaints and grievances and makes oral/written reports to Director.
• Acts as a resource and provides education for patients/families and IDT members.

Qualifications
Current license to practice as an RN in the State of Texas. Minimum of two years of supervisory experience, preferably in hospice, home health, or related program. Must be Hospice Certified. Demonstrated administrative ability, including knowledge of health care policies and program responsibilities. Has experience with basic computer software programs and must be willing to travel and take after-hour calls.
