The Texas & New Mexico Hospice Organization is dedicated to promoting quality, ethical hospice care. We’re here to be your partner for success, through, education, advocacy, and community.

EDUCATION

You have access to 98 hours of online training programs that are available 24 hours a day for the professionals in your organization. We’ve got your whole organization covered! Online professional development available for all hospice disciplines.

ADVOCACY

TNMHO represents member organizations at both the national and state levels before legislative bodies and regulatory agencies. Our board of directors and staff are respected points of contact and information for rule-making authorities. We advocate for our members in governance decisions large and small offering practical insight and advocating for fair and ethical policies.

REFERRALS

As a member of TNMHO, your hospice organization will be listed on our website and member directory. The hospice locator tool is another valuable resource for families in need of hospice care -and they find our members first. Another referral opportunity stream is the TNMHO’s phone number, which is published in Medicare’s hospice booklet. When individuals and families call that number in search of quality hospice care we direct them to member organizations whenever possible.

ANNUAL CONFERENCE

The TNMHO hosts an annual conference each spring with an average attendance of more than 400 hospice professionals. During this meeting, general sessions with nationally recognized experts in hospice and palliative care are provided over 50 breakout sessions that are tailored to the individual and professional needs of the participants.

FACE-TO-FACE TRAINING

No other organization in Texas or New Mexico can provide you the number and quality of TNMHO’s educational offerings.  In 2022 TNMHO offered 142 hours of  face-to-face classes, and provided 90+ online courses to over 15,000 individuals.

NEWS YOU CAN USE

The Update, a weekly news brief, provides timely information about hospice around the state, and the nation. A weekly regulatory update provides information gleaned from the federal, Texas and New Mexico registers, as well as information and analysis developed from meetings and other sources. When either state legislature is in session, members receive weekly legislative updates.

COMMUNITY

TNMHO understands the power of synergy, and seeks to connect members that can be of service and support to one another. There is no “one size fits all” in hospice care, and leaders need a network of resources to tackle day-to-day challenges with clarity and confidence.
