Since 1934, VNA has provided the highest quality care in the home across North Texas, especially for those with no place to turn and no means to pay. As one of the first hospice agencies in Texas, VNA helped establish the Medicare Hospice Benefit that we have today. VNA Hospice Care provides medical care, as well as emotional and spiritual support, for adults in the final phase of a terminal illness and bereavement care for their families. VNA Hospice Care also offers unique volunteer services such as pet therapy and a music therapy program.
VNA Care Choices is the first Medicare-sponsored, home-based palliative care program. Offering in-home support, care coordination, and symptom management, VNA Care Choices allows patients to maintain treatment flexibility. Patients receive benefits similar to home hospice, while simultaneously receiving curative treatment.
VNA offers Meals on Wheels in Dallas County, and VNA Hospice Care, Palliative Care, and Private Care in 13 North Texas counties including Collin, Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Grayson, Henderson, Hunt, Kaufman, Navarro, Rockwall, Tarrant and Van Zandt.
